How your furniture gets to you, what it costs, and what happens if something isn't right.

Where we deliver

Across Nairobi and countrywide. Deliveries within Nairobi are usually made within a few days of an order being confirmed; upcountry deliveries depend on the route and are arranged case by case.

What delivery costs

It depends on the size of the piece and the distance. We quote it before dispatch and confirm it with you, nothing is sent, and no payment is taken, until you have agreed the figure. Large pieces sometimes need two people, which is included in the quote rather than added on the day.

Getting it into the room

Large furniture is carried in and set where it is going, not left at the gate. Tell us in advance about stairs, narrow corridors, lifts or a tight turn at the door, it changes how we plan the delivery, and occasionally whether a piece can go in at all.

Check it before we leave

Look the piece over while our team is still there. If something arrived damaged in transit, we would far rather know at that moment than a week later.

Returns and exchanges

If a piece arrives damaged or is not what was agreed, contact us within 48 hours with photographs and we will repair, replace or refund it. Because almost everything is one of a kind and much of it is made to order, we cannot generally take back a piece simply because it turned out to be the wrong size, which is why we offer to check measurements against your room before you buy.

Custom commissions

A deposit is taken once the drawing and price are agreed, since materials are bought for your piece specifically. That deposit is not refundable once work has started, though we will always talk through a change before you are committed to it.

Natural variation is not a fault

Grain, colour and small marks vary between pieces, and fine checking along end grain is normal in solid timber. These are characteristics of the material rather than defects, and are not grounds for return. If you are unsure whether something is normal, send us a photograph and we will tell you honestly.

Not sure it will fit?

Send us the dimensions of your room, your doorway, or the alcove it has to sit in. We check pieces against real rooms most days.
